Aston Business School is one of the largest and most successful business schools in Europe.  Our outstanding reputation is reflected in our consistently high league table positions. The Times rated Aston Business School as 3rd best in the UK in 2005 and the Sunday Times University Guide ranked us as 4th in 2006.  We are also one of only 27 business schools worldwide to receive triple accreditation from three independent international business authorities – EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA.

Our undergraduate BSc business degree programmes have a reputation for their teaching quality and relevance to the real world of commerce.  Degree content is designed with input from employers to ensure that graduates are highly employable and many companies actively seek Aston Business School graduates.  The optional integrated placement year provides paid graduate level work experience and equips students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in graduate level careers. This is bourn out by our consistently high levels of graduate employment with nearly 90% of our students in graduate level jobs six months after finishing their degree.

Aston Business School offers a wide range of business related BSc degree programmes from specialist to broad based degrees.  Specialist degrees such as Marketing, Accounting, Human Resources (HR), Economics, Business and IT and Consultancy equip students with the specialist skills and knowledge to succeed in their chosen field. Broader management based degrees provide a range of skills so that students can operate across organisational functions when they graduate.  We also offer an international perspective with degrees such as International Business and Economics and International Business and Management. In 2008 we are also excited to be introducing a new Law programme.

All BSc degrees have a Common First Year, where students study a wide range of business subjects and have the flexibility to change to many other degree programmes in the second year if they choose.  All of our degrees give exemptions from professional examinations from bodies such as The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) to name but two. Exemptions from these types of professional body will enable you to benefit from accelerated career progression when you graduate.

International students can be assured of a high level of support while they study with Aston Business School.  Students can access English Language support throughout their studies and they also have access to welfare and health services as well as careers advice and learning support services. The Business School also provides a bespoke student support service within the Business Schools undergraduate office to ensure that students are settling into study at Aston. 

The Aston University campus is close knit, safe and friendly. All international students placing us as their firm choice institution are guaranteed on-campus accommodation throughout the duration of your studies.  The campus has all the facilities you will need for student living including a library, IT facilities, sports facilities and cafes and snack bars. There are many societies and clubs where you can share interests and make friends along with the opportunity to set up your own special interest group.

Aston Business School is in a central UK location and benefits from easy access to rail, road and Birmingham International Airport, making it a good location to explore the rest of the UK and Europe.  The UK’s second City is also much cheaper to live in than many of the countries southern towns and cities making it an attractive place to study. Our students enjoy an enviable lifestyle, situated close to Birmingham city centre, with easy access to shops, bars and restaurants, as well as transport links.  Birmingham is also home to many cultural pursuits including the Birmingham Royal Ballet, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and many museums, art galleries and theatres.
